The outbreak of the Covid-19 happened in many parts of Hong Kong, along with an array of cases with unknown infection sources, has aroused widespread public concern. HKFTU, together with the residents in areas with relatively more severe outbreaks,thus met with Caspar Tsui Ying-wai, the Secretary for Home Affairs,  to ask the government to set up Integrated Anti-epidemic and Quarantine Centers, aiming at enhancing the community anti-epidemic efforts and futhur preventing the spread of the disease.

Afterwards, the "National Nucleic Acid Testing Support Team" entered Hong Kong via the Shenzhen Bay port. HKFTU held up a banner written with "Warm welcome to the National Anti-epidemic Support Team to Hong Kong to fight the epidemic", as well as sending flowers to the team members to express the ardent ovation for their arrival.
